Hi! I’m Emiko Martinez, the owner and lead artist behind Face Nectar Colorado. Thank you so much for visiting my website! If you have questions about booking face painting, henna, balloon artists, or body art entertainment for your event, I’d love to hear from you.

My goal is simple: to provide exceptional artwork, professional service, and unforgettable experiences for your guests. Whether I’m painting at a corporate event, company picnic, festival, employee appreciation celebration, or private party, I strive to bring creativity, joy, and connection to every event I’m part of.

A Lifelong Love of Art

Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, thanks to my incredibly creative and talented mom. Growing up, we were always making something—drawing portraits, sewing doll clothes, or diving into all kinds of artsy projects together. We even designed and handmade clothing, Halloween costumes, and prom dresses!

Because of her, creativity became a natural part of my life. Today I’m lucky enough to share that same love of art with my own daughter as we continue the tradition of making, creating, and imagining together.

Discovering Face Painting

Several years ago, I began experimenting with painting on skin and quickly fell in love with the idea of the human face as a canvas. In the summer of 2014, I painted at a friend’s birthday party, and the response was incredible. Kids and adults alike were so excited to see their designs come to life.

Seeing the joy and confidence that face painting brought people truly moved me. It was one of those moments where you realize you’ve found something special.

At the time, I was working in a corporate career, but I continued painting at events, parties, and community gatherings while developing my business plan. Eventually, after 15 years in the corporate world, I decided to take a leap of faith and pursue my passion full-time.

Becoming a full-time artist and small business owner was a dream come true.

Face Nectar Colorado Today

Today, Face Nectar Colorado provides professional face painting, henna, balloon artists, and body art entertainment for events throughout Denver and the Colorado Front Range.

We specialize in entertainment for:

• Festivals and community celebrations

• Birthday parties and private events

Our goal is always the same: create beautiful art while making guests feel seen, celebrated, and excited to participate.

I’m incredibly proud to collaborate with some of the best event artists in Colorado, and it’s truly rewarding to bring together talented professionals who love what they do just as much as I do.

Life Outside of Painting

My family and I live in Lakewood, Colorado, and when we’re not creating art, you’ll usually find us enjoying the amazing Colorado outdoors—skiing, hiking, camping, and dancing at music festivals.

Colorado is an incredible place to live, work, and create, and I feel so grateful to bring art to events across the community.
